A wee introduction…

Hi, I’m Amy! I’m the maker behind Sage and Soul, an award winning jewellery brand based in Lisburn, N.Ireland. My love for creating jewellery began almost 7 years ago, during a crazy time when my health significantly impacted my day to day life. Creating jewellery became more than just a hobby - it became a way to cope and to reconnect with myself.

I’ve always been very creative, enjoying lots of outlets that help support both my mental and physical health, from reading and photography to journaling and gardening. Though, jewellery making quickly became one of my favourites.

I find so much comfort in working with my hands (when they let me!) and turning simple materials into beautiful jewellery that can be worn and cherished every day. One of the most special parts of my work is creating bespoke jewellery - incorporating elements like hair, ashes, whiskers, and other sentimental keepsakes into my pieces.

While my disabilities are still a very big part of my life, and something I majorly struggle with every day, my love and enjoyment for jewellery making hasn’t faded one bit. Getting out to markets, meeting customers face to face, catching up with market besties, and sharing my work with new audiences brings me so much joy. I’d be lost without my husband who supports me endlessly and helps make it all possible 🖤

In May 2025 I was awarded Highly Commended by the NMTF (National Market Traders Federation), which was such an honour for my wee business. Running everything solo while battling disabilities can be incredibly challenging, so this felt like a really special reminder that I’m on the right path and that I truly belong in this space.

I just want to say to anyone with a disability considering turning a hobby into something more - believe in yourself and trust the process. It can be really hard at times, but when it works, it’s incredibly rewarding and genuinely fulfilling. You’d be amazed at how much joy comes from creating something entirely on your own terms.

Meeting new people, sharing stories, welcoming back familiar customers, and showcasing my work to new audiences is one of the things I love most about what I do. Every piece I create is made with heart, soul, intention, and care - thanks for hopping on the Sage and Soul rollercoaster with me!
